On the afternoon of April 23, 2025, Professor Han Junhai, Dean of the School of Life Science and Technology at Southeast University, led a delegation of 15 faculty members and students to Vazyme Biotech Co., Ltd. for a "Enterprise Visit & Career Development" event. The visit aimed to deepen university-enterprise cooperation and promote the precise alignment of talent cultivation in the biomedical field with industry demands.

Upon arrival at Vazyme, heads of the company's human resources and technical departments gave the faculty and students a comprehensive introduction to the company's history, core business, and industry standing. They provided a detailed interpretation of their recruitment needs in areas such as genetic engineering reagent R&D and in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) product development, and engaged in an in-depth discussion with the university delegation on the competency model for talent in the biomedical industry. The company representatives proposed a standard for interdisciplinary talent that combines "technical R&D with an industrialization mindset." They also answered students' questions regarding career development paths and job skill requirements, painting a clear picture of their professional prospects.

The event featured a special breakout session for two-way communication. During the company tour, faculty and students visited the high-throughput diagnostic reagent production line, the intelligent gene synthesis laboratory, and the quality control center. They observed innovative achievements up close, such as fully automated nucleic acid extraction equipment and lyophilized microsphere preparation technology. Graduate student representative Yu Xiaoxiao remarked, "Seeing the entire chain from basic laboratory research to large-scale production has given me a much deeper understanding of the industrial application of biotechnology."

In the career guidance breakout session, Vazyme's recruitment team analyzed the hiring logic of biomedical enterprises through activities like mock group interviews and resume optimization workshops. Dong Shikun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, integrated feedback from the company to guide students on how to translate their academic achievements into job competitiveness. He also offered practical advice on common challenges, such as "transforming from a research mindset to an engineering mindset." Undergraduate student Wang Xiyuchen said, "The corporate mentors' insights on professional qualities have given me new ideas for planning my academic and career development path."

Through on-site visits and in-depth dialogue, this event not only broadened students' awareness of the frontiers of the biomedical industry but also fostered cooperation intentions between the university and the enterprise in areas like joint curriculum development and the construction of internship bases. The college and Vazyme reached a consensus to carry out targeted talent cultivation centered on "industry-academia-research collaborative innovation" in the future. They will work together to nurture high-level talent adapted to the high-quality development of the biotechnology industry, injecting new momentum into the deepening of industry-education integration.
